Bless a Child
Sharing the Hope of Jesus with Families This Christmas
Christmas is a season of giving, but for families impacted by incarceration, it can also be a difficult time of separation.
Through New Vision's Corrections Ministry, Bless a Child provides a special opportunity for children with an incarcerated parent at the Rutherford County Correctional Work Center to spend meaningful time together during the Christmas season.
Each year, these children and their families are invited to share a meal, enjoy time together, hear the gospel, and receive Christmas gifts chosen with each child in mind.
But Bless a Child is about more than gifts. It's an opportunity to remind these children and their families that they are seen, loved, and not forgotten, while sharing the lasting hope found in Jesus Christ.
How You Can Be Part of Bless a Child
PRAY
Prayer is an important part of this ministry. We invite you to pray for:
- The children and families: That they would experience the love of Christ and find encouragement during a difficult season.
- The incarcerated parents: That God would work in their hearts, strengthen their relationships with their children, and draw them closer to Him.
- The event and volunteers: That every conversation, act of kindness, and opportunity to share the gospel would point families to Jesus.
