THEME:

Every day is an adventure at Breaker Rock Beach, from the morning waves crashing against the shore to evenings filled with bonfires and s’mores! Catch a glimpse of an orca leaping through the surf or watch happy sea lions playing among the rocks beneath magnificent pines. Breaker Rock rises majestically as a symbol of strength, standing firm against the force of wind and waves.

Imagine racing along the sand with your brightly colored kite, and join friends for the most awe inspiring VBS ever as kids experience biblical truth taught in six rotation sites; Bible Study at Sandcastle Cove, Sea Lion Snacks, Ship Recreations, Tide Pool Crafts, and Orca Music. At Breaker Rock Beach, kids will learn to recognize the difference between what the world says is true and what God says is true. Each day kids will be challenged to know that God’s truth never changes—even when it’s radically different from what people say.

MOTTO & CHRIST CONNECTION:

GOD’S TRUTH NEVER CHANGES!
Jesus is the only way to receive salvation. When we trust Christ as our Savior, He gives us the desire to love God’s Word, obey God, and lovingly tell others about Jesus.

SCRIPTURE

“Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.” - Romans 12:2

Yes! Everyone is encouraged to dress up and have some fun!

  • My Favorite Color Monday
  • Theme Tuesday
  • Wacky Wednesday
  • VBS Shirt Thursday
7. How do I register my kids or volunteer to serve?

There are two ways to do this:

  1. Go to New Vision’s website (newvisionlife.com) and click on the Events tab. The deadline to pre-register is Friday, June 7th.
  2. After June 7th, children can be registered in person on Sunday, June 9th at our VBS Family Kickoff Event at 5:00 PM or on Monday, June 10th beginning at 5:40 PM.
8. We pre-registered. What else do we need to do?

If you pre-registered, you’re all set. Our Worship Rally begins at 6:00 PM, but the doors will open as early as 5:40 PM. When you get here, simply…

  • Pull into the parking lot and you will be directed by the Parking Team to a kiosk. At the kiosk, you will print your child’s name tag, and someone from our Parking Team will provide you with your child’s car pick-up tag. A Parking Team member will escort your child inside to their group in the worship center.
9. We didn’t pre-register. Is it too late?

No, it’s definitely not too late! You can register in person the evening of Sunday, June 9th at our Family Kickoff Event or upon your arrival any other evening of VBS. Just park and come inside to the registration tables in the Atrium. Once your child is registered, doors will open at 5:40 PM and at that time you can bring them to the Worship Center and drop them off with their assigned group.

10. How can I buy a VBS T-shirt and CD?

VBS t-shirts and CDs will be on sale in the Atrium on Sunday mornings through the month of May and then during the week of VBS, while supplies last.

11. What if my child needs a different snack during the day because of allergies or other reasons?

Parents can prepare a simple snack that their child can safely enjoy during their scheduled snack period. Parents will need to package their alternative snack with the child’s full name and group number clearly labeled on the outside of the container. Children will need to give the labeled snack to their Tour Guide when they arrive each evening.

12. How does dismissal work? When and where will I pick up my child?

Dismissal begins at 8:30 PM. Parents will pull into the church’s parking lot and will be directed by the Parking Team. Please have your car pick-up tag in the front window of your vehicle visible for the Parking Team. Your child’s name will be called over a walkie-talkie and your child will be escorted out to your vehicle. You will use your car pick-up tag every night to pick up your child.

  • If someone different will be picking up your child you will need to give them the car pick-up tag, or you can take a picture of it with your phone and send it to that person. We will look at their phone to confirm the connection with your child.
  • NOTE:  Children of VBS volunteers will remain inside the Worship Center with one of their Tour Guides until you pick them up there AFTER dismissal is complete for your group. For the safety and security of dismissal time, please do not pick them up beforehand.
13. What do I do if I lost my security pick-up tag?

If you lose or forget your security pick-up tag, go to Information Desk located inside in Atrium. Please be prepared to show your driver’s license or another form of ID.

14. What do I do if I need to pick up my child early from VBS?

If you need to pick up your child early, you will need to arrive at the Information Desk in the Atrium BEFORE 8:00 PM. After you show your car pick-up tag at the Information Desk, someone will get your child and bring him/her to you. If you arrive after 8:00 PM, you will need to wait outside until children are being dismissed.

NOTE:  For the safety and security of all children, no adults will be allowed into the building after 8:00 PM.

15. Will an offering be taken up during VBS week?

Yes! Every year we give kids an opportunity to be a part of what God is doing near and far through our Kids serving Kids Mission’s Offering. At New Vision, we believe that kids serving kids is the perfect way for us to be the body of Christ. We want our children to live out their faith in a practical way. You can serve too by donating this week and continuing to partner with us as we guide children to lives of Gospel Transformation.

16. Tell me about the Family Kickoff Event:

The VBS Family Kickoff Event will be on Sunday, June 9th! You don’t want to miss this exciting evening for the whole family! We will begin in the Worship Center at 5:00 PM with our VBS kickoff service! This is a time where everyone will get a taste of the adventure we will take together during the week. Then we will exit to the parking lot for more fun! There will be food, popcorn, inflatables, and games for the whole family to enjoy. We will also offer t-shirt and CD sales along with VBS registration for those who have not done so prior to the cutoff dates…meaning no long lines for you on Monday evening!
