If anyone were in tune with God, it would be young Samuel. Samuel’s mother dedicated him to the Lord at birth and sent him to serve in the house of the Lord as soon as he was weaned. Even though Samuel could not remember a time when he was not serving the Lord, he almost missed God’s transmission because he was not prepared to receive it. Sometimes we can be like Samuel. We say we want to hear God speak, but we are not prepared to hear it. We need to be tuned in to the right frequency.
