Vacation Bible School (VBS) is an exciting week of games, crafts, singing, snacks and most of all, learning about Jesus!

The VBS Family Kickoff event is on Sunday, June 7^th, from 3:00pm – 5:00pm.

VBS week is June 8^th – 11^th from 6:00pm – 8:30pm.

Our daily schedule:

• 5:40 – 6:00pm — The Worship Center opens with Pre-Worship Rally Music
• 6:00 – 6:30pm — VBS Worship Rally and daily Bible story
• 6:30 – 8:10pm — Children rotate through the following stations:  Crafts, Music, Huddle, Recreation and Snack
• 8:15 – 8:30pm — Closing Rally in the Worship Center
• 8:30pm — Dismissal

VBS is for children who have completed Kindergarten through 5^th grade. Kindergarten through 4^th grade will participate in a traditional VBS experience, while 5^th grade will have their own 5^th grade experience led by the Student Ministry Team.

To make your child's transition into Student Ministry a smooth and enjoyable experience, we will facilitate a special 5^th grade exclusive Vacation Bible School experience. Imagine the fun, Jesus-centered worship and teaching of New Vision’s VBS combined with age-relevant discussion groups, exciting new experiences, and the Student Leaders your child will meet in August. We will meet at the church each day for check-in before leaving campus for our worship, Bible story, discussion, and other activities. This is not just any VBS, but a purposeful event designed to help your child grow in their faith while having a blast with their friends!

• 5:40-6:00 PM – Doors open at Buchanan Campus for Check-in
• 6:05 PM – Leave for LTA Depot
• 6:25-6:35 PM – Worship
• 6:35-6:55 PM – Bible Story
• 6:55-7:15 PM – Small Group Huddle Time
• 7:15-8:05 PM – Rec. Time
• 8:05-8:20 PM – Return to Buchanan Campus
• 8:20-8:25 PM – Meet in Worship Center
• 8:30 PM – Dismissal

Illumination Stateion:
Shining a light on who Jesus really is

Culture claims to know about Jesus, but many people are in the dark about who He really is. Some might see Jesus as just a person from history or a good man or a good teacher – but He is more than that! This summer, VBS will shine a light on the truth of who Jesus really is. Meet us at Illumination Station for the brightest week of the year. Kids will explore all the ways light brightens, illuminates, reflects, and reveals while discovering that Jesus is the light who brings hope to a dark world! Like the disciples, kids will be challenged to answer Jesus’s question, “Who do you say that I am?” They will discover it’s not a matter of opinion. Jesus is who Scripture says He is – the perfect, proven, and powerful Son of God.

Yes! Everyone is encouraged to dress up and have some fun!

• Monday – My Favorite Color Monday (dress in your favorite color)
• Tuesday – VBS T-Shirt Tuesday (wear the current or any past VBS shirt)
• Wednesday – Wacky Wednesday (use your imagination)
• Thursday – Theme Day Thursday (neon, crazy colors and lights)

There are two ways to do this:

1. Go to New Vision’s website (newvisionlife.com) and click on the Events tab. The deadline to pre-register is Sunday, June 7th.   
2. After June 7^th, children can be registered in person on Monday, June 8^th beginning at 5:40pm.

If you pre-registered, you’re all set. Our Worship Rally begins at 6:00pm, but the doors will open as early as 5:40pm. When you get here, simply…

• Pull into the parking lot and you will be directed by the Parking Team to a kiosk. At the kiosk, you will print your child’s name tag, and someone from our Parking Team will provide you with your child’s car pick-up tag. A Parking Team member will escort your child inside to their group in the worship center.

No, it’s definitely not too late! You can register in person the afternoon of Sunday, June 7^th at our VBS Family Kickoff Event or upon your arrival any evening of VBS. Just park and come inside to the registration tables in the Atrium. Once your child is registered, doors will open at 5:40pm and at that time you can bring them to the Worship Center and drop them off with their assigned group.

VBS t-shirts and CDs will be on sale in the Atrium on Sunday mornings through the month of May and then during the week of VBS, while supplies last.

Parents can prepare a simple snack that their child can safely enjoy during their scheduled snack period. Parents will need to package their alternative snack with the child’s full name and group number clearly labeled on the outside of the container. Children will need to give the labeled snack to their Tour Guide when they arrive each evening.

Dismissal begins at 8:30pm. Parents will pull into the church’s parking lot and will be directed by the Parking Team. Please have your car pick-up tag in the front window of your vehicle visible for the Parking Team. Your child’s name will be called over a walkie-talkie and your child will be escorted out to your vehicle. You will use your car pick-up tag every night to pick up your child.

• If someone different will be picking up your child you will need to give them the car pick-up tag, or you can take a picture of it with your phone and send it to that person. We will look at their phone to confirm the connection with your child.

• NOTE:  Children of VBS volunteers will remain inside the Worship Center with one of their Tour Guides until you pick them up there AFTER dismissal is complete for your group. For the safety and security of dismissal time, please do not pick them up beforehand.

If you lose or forget your security pick-up tag, go to the Information Desk located inside in the Atrium. Please be prepared to show your driver’s license or another form of ID.

If you need to pick up your child early, you will need to arrive at the Information Desk in the Atrium BEFORE 8:00pm. After you show your car pick-up tag at the Information Desk, someone will get your child and bring him/her to you. If you arrive after 8:00pm, you will need to wait outside until children are being dismissed.

NOTE:  For the safety and security of all children, no adults will be allowed into the building after 8:00pm. 

Yes! Every year we give kids an opportunity to be a part of what God is doing near and far through our Kids serving Kids Mission’s Offering. At New Vision, we believe that kids serving kids is the perfect way for us to be the body of Christ. We want our children to live out their faith in a practical way. You can serve too by donating this week and continuing to partner with us as we guide children to lives of Gospel Transformation. 

The VBS Family Kickoff Event will be on Sunday, June 7^th! You don’t want to miss this exciting afternoon for the whole family! We will begin in the Worship Center at 3:00pm with our VBS kickoff service! This is a time where everyone will get a taste of the adventure we will take together during the week. Then we will go outside for more fun! There will be snacks, popcorn, inflatables, and games for the whole family to enjoy. We will also offer t-shirt sales along with VBS registration for those who have not yet signed up…meaning no long lines for you on Monday evening!
