Passage: Daniel 3:1-30
When King Nebuchadnezzar commanded everyone under his rule to worship his golden image, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to bow down and were literally thrown into the fire for their loyalty to the only true God. Miraculously, they survived the fiery furnace unharmed. This story indicates that God is able to deliver from the powers of evil all who place their trust in him. The devil tempts us to destroy our faith, but God tests us to develop our faith, because a faith that can't be tested can't be trusted.
