Passage: Matthew 7:1-21
“Judge not lest ye be judged!” Never has a passage of Scripture been so utterly abused, misunderstood, and misapplied as this one. Some people employ this half-truth because they want to do what they want to do, when they want to do it, even if the bible calls it sin. Others who believe this myth are afraid to show concern about the sins of others because of their own sin.
Jesus did say it in Matthew 7:1, but He isn't instructing us to turn a blind eye to sin. The very next verse makes it very clear...we must judge rightly!
