Passage: Romans 15:1-7
Most of us prefer to spend time with people like us. People with the same interests, same social class, same stage of life, etc. We like our relationships to be easy. We definitely don’t like to be around difficult people. And yet we are stuck wondering why we don't grow spiritually!
The scriptures teach us to bear with the failings of the weak, not to please ourselves but to please our neighbors for their good and to build them up. After all, that's how Jesus loves us. He willingly gave up his own rights and dignity to bring us salvation.
