Groups Building Construction Update - September 2023

Posted on

We are excited to bring you another update on the progress of our new Small Groups Building! Over the last couple of weeks, there has been a lot of activity on the construction site, and we want to share with you the latest developments.

1. The Foundation is Set:  One of the significant milestones achieved recently was the pouring of the slab around the perimeter and within the interior columns of the building. This essential step ensures a solid foundation for our new Small Groups Building, providing a stable and secure space for all our future activities.

2. Preparing for Steel:  Our dedicated construction team has also worked hard to get the columns cleaned out where the footings are located. This crucial preparation paves the way for the next phase: installing steel structures. The columns are now ready to support the weight of the steel beams that will form the skeleton of our new building.

3. Rising Steel:  The most exciting part of the construction process is happening. Steel columns are now being set up, marking the beginning of the vertical construction phase. As these columns go up, the shape and structure of our new building will become increasingly visible, and we can begin to imagine the transformative impact it will have on our church community.

What's Next? The steelwork is a significant part of the construction process and is expected to continue over the next month or two. As the steel beams rise and connect, we'll start to see the outline of the Small Groups Building taking shape.
