May has been a very productive month for the small groups building, on the inside and the outside.

On the outside, there has been a great deal of progress made on the walkway on the roof space. The second-floor siding is underway, and almost all of the windows and doors have been installed. The sidewalks around the perimeter of the building are underway, and the first steps of replacing the parking lot have begun.

The work on the inside has been even more noticeable, with the ceilings and lights in each room mostly completed. Flooring in the small group rooms is underway and only a little remains before the restrooms are finished. Even the wall treatments and paint colors have begun. The new reception area is taking shape and the connection from the new building to the existing building has been created, even though it isn’t yet accessible. Work is underway on the elevator car, which will provide great accessibility to the roof.

While the construction progress is visible and encouraging, more exciting is what has been happening with group leaders. The rooms have been filled up for the 9:40 hour and most of the rooms have leaders for the 8:20 and 11:00 hours. The space is filling up quick, but if you have any interest in leading or co-leading a group in the new building, it’s not too late to reach out to Joseph Brasher ( ) to see what opportunities exist.

As you see the construction site and have a chance to reflect on what God has done and is doing at New Vision, please take just a moment to pray for what is ahead. Within a couple of months, several hundred people which young children will have an opportunity to grow in their faith by joining with other believers in a small group setting to study the Word of God together and to encourage one another. We all pray that this will have substantial spiritual impact on entire families throughout our community, and that it will all serve to glorify God.
