Yes! Everyone is encouraged to dress up and have some fun! We will announce each day’s theme on the day before from the stage and also through our daily email VBS newsletter.

7. How do I register my kids or volunteer to serve?

There are two ways to do this:

1. Go to New Vision’s website (newvisionlife.com) and click on the Events tab. The deadline to pre-register is Saturday, June 19th.

2. After June 19th, children can be registered in person on Sunday, June 20th at our VBS Family Kickoff Event at 5:00 PM or on Monday, June 21st beginning at 5:40 PM.

8. We pre-registered. What else do we need to do?

If you pre-registered, you’re all set. Our Worship Rally begins at 6:00 PM, but the doors will open as early as 5:40 PM. When you get here, simply…

• At 5:40 PM, enter the Worship Center, find your child’s group and drop them off with their leader.

• If someone different will be picking up your child you will need to give them the CAR PICK-UP TAG, or you can take a picture of it with your phone and send it to that person. We will look at their phone to confirm the connecting with your child.

NOTE:  You will receive your child’s group assignment when you check-in Monday evening June 21st. If for some reason we cannot pair your child up with their friend request, you will be contacted via email before VBS.

9. We didn’t pre-register. Is it too late?

No, it’s definitely not too late! You can register in person the evening of Sunday, June 20th at our Family Kickoff Event or upon your arrival any other evening of VBS. Just park and come to the registration tables located in the foyer outside the Worship Center. Once you’ve got your child registered, doors will open at 5:40 PM and at that time you can bring them to the Worship Center and drop them off with their assigned group.

10. How can I buy a VBS T-shirt and CD?

VBS t-shirts and CDs will be on sale in the Foyer on Sunday mornings through the month of May, at Kickoff Night on June 20th, and then during the week of VBS, while supplies last.

11. What if my child needs a different snack during the day because of allergies or other reasons?

Parents can prepare a simple snack that their child can safely enjoy during their scheduled snack period. Parents will need to package their alternative snack with the child’s full name and group number clearly labeled on the outside of the container. Parents will need to give the labeled snack to their child’s Tour Guide when they drop them off each evening.

12. How does dismissal work? When and where will I pick up my child?

DROP OFF ON MONDAY NIGHT, you will check in at the registration desk in the atrium to receive your child's CAR PICK-UP TAG which will show your child’s group assignment. Beginning at 5:40 PM, you will then drop off your child at their group the Worship Center.

DROP OFF AFTER MONDAY NIGHT, parents dropping children off prior to VBS should pull into the 2nd driveway of the church’s parking lot and will be directed by the Traffic Team to circle through the parking lot clockwise. After getting in front of the church, with the driver-side door of the vehicle closest to the church entrance, Parking team will assist with getting registered children out of the vehicles and inside the church.

If children are brought to VBS for the first time after Monday night, they’ll need to be brought inside to register and receive their CAR PICK-UP TAG.

Dismissal begins at 8:30 PM. YOUR CAR TAG WILL ACT AS YOUR PICK-UP TAG EACH NIGHT. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PICK UP YOUR CHILD WITHOUT IT!  Please keep the tag visible in the window of your vehicle.

Parents will pull into the 2nd driveway of the church’s parking lot and will be directed by the Traffic Team to circle through the parking lot clockwise. After getting in front of the church, parents will pull up to one of the designated cones with the Car Pick-Up Tag in the window of your vehicle. Your child’s name will be called over a walkie-talkie and escorted out to your vehicle.

• If someone different will be picking up your child, you will need to give them the CAR PICK-UP TAG, or you can take a picture of it with your phone and send it to that person. We will look at their phone to confirm the connection with your child.

NOTE:  Children of VBS volunteers will remain inside the Worship Center with one of their Tour Guides until you pick them up there AFTER dismissal is complete for your group. For the safety and security of dismissal time, please do not pick them up beforehand.

14. What do I do if I need to pick up my child early from VBS?

Yes! Every year we give kids an opportunity to be a part of what God is doing near and far through our Kids serving Kids Mission’s Offering. You can serve too by donating this week and continuing to partner with us as we guide children to lives of Gospel Transformation.

17. I volunteered to help with VBS. Where do I need to park and check in?

All Children’s Ministry VBS Volunteers Parking and Checking In:

Please park in the front grass area of the church. There will be Traffic Team volunteers directing where to park. This will help our guests easily enter and exit the main parking on campus during drop-off and pick-up. Once inside, check in with your director in the area in which you serve or in the area designated by your director. If you have children registered for VBS you may drop them off at 5:40 PM in the worship center. This will give you time to get to your designated place of service and be ready to go!

TOUR GUIDES – Please check in with your Tour Guide Directors in the preschool area. It is super important that you arrive by 5:20 PM to get checked in, then drop your kids off in the worship center and be in your own group in the worship center by 5:30 PM ready to greet your kids when they enter at 5:40 PM.
