7. Will there be Theme Days where everyone will dress up?

Yes! Everyone is encouraged to dress up and have some fun! We will announce each day’s theme on the day before from the stage and also through our daily VBS newsletter.

8. How do I register my kids or volunteer to serve?

There are two ways to do this:

1. Go to New Vision’s website (newvisionlife.com) and click on the Events tab. The deadline to pre-register is Saturday, June 12th.

2. After June 12th, children can be registered in person on Monday, June 14th beginning at 8:00 AM.

9. We pre-registered. What else do we need to do?

If you pre-registered, you’re all set. Our Worship Rally begins at 9:00 AM, but the doors will open as early as 8:40 AM. When you get here, simply…

• Once parked, walk your child into the Worship Center Atrium.

• Once inside, walk up to a kiosk, type in your phone number, select your family, click the white box next to your child’s name, click “check-in” at the bottom right, and your tags will then print. You will receive 2 tags:  your child’s name tag and a matching parent pick-up tag with matching security numbers. YOU WILL NEED TO SHOW THIS TAG TO PICK UP YOUR CHILD! (You will repeat this check-in process and receive new tags each day.)

• At 8:40 AM, enter the Worship Center, find your child’s group and drop them off with their leader.

• Be sure to hang on to the security pick-up tag that was printed at the kiosk, you’ll need to show it to pick your child up during dismissal. If someone different will be picking up your child you will need to give them the security pick-up tag, or you can take a picture of it with your phone and send it to that person. We will look at their phone to confirm that their numbers match your child’s.

NOTE:  You will receive your child’s group assignment when you check-in at the kiosk Monday morning June 14th. If for some reason we cannot pair your child up with their friend request, you will be contacted via email before VBS.

10. We didn’t pre-register. Is it too late?

No, it’s definitely not too late! You can register in person upon your arrival any morning of VBS. Just park and come to the registration tables located in the HUB area. Once you’ve got your child registered, doors will open at 8:40 AM and at that time, you can bring them to the Worship Center and drop them off with their assigned group.

11. How can I buy a VBS T-shirt and CD?

VBS t-shirts and CDs will be on sale in the Worship Center Atrium on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings through the month of May and then outside during the week of VBS, while supplies last.

12. What if my child needs a different snack during the day because of allergies or other reasons?

Parents can prepare a simple snack that their child can safely enjoy during their scheduled snack period. Parents will need to package their alternative snack with the child’s full name and group number clearly labeled on the outside of the container. Parents will need to give the labeled snack to their child’s Tour Guide when they drop them off each morning.

13. How does dismissal work? When and where will I pick up my child?

Dismissal begins at 12:00 PM. Children will be led out by their tour guides to designated rows in a marked off area right outside the Worship Center on the N. Thompson Lane side. Park your car and bring your security pick-up tag to the marked dismissal area outside. Parents MUST present their security pick-up tag before their child will be released.

NOTE:  Children of VBS volunteers will remain inside the Worship Center with one of their tour guides until you pick them up there AFTER outside dismissal is complete for your group. For the safety and security of dismissal time, please do not pick them up beforehand.

14. What do I do if I lost my security pick-up tag?

If you forget your security pick-up tag, go to the Information Desk in the HUB area. Please be prepared to show your driver’s license or another form of ID.

15. What do I do if I need to pick up my child early from VBS?

If you need to pick up your child early, you will need to arrive at the registration desk BEFORE 12:00 PM. After you show your security pick-up tag at the registration desk, someone will get your child and bring him/her to you. If you arrive after 12:00 PM, you will need to wait outside until children are brought out for dismissal.

NOTE:  For the safety and security of all children, no adults will be allowed into the building after 12:00 PM.

16. Will an offering be taken up during VBS week?

Yes! Every year we give kids an opportunity to be a part of what God is doing near and far through our Kids serving Kids Mission’s Offering. At New Vision, we believe that kids serving kids is the perfect way for us to be the body of Christ. We want our children to live out their faith in a practical way. You can serve too by donating this week and continuing to partner with us as we guide children to lives of Gospel Transformation.

17. Tell me about the Kickoff Event:

Unfortunately, there will not be a VBS Kickoff Night event this year. VBS will begin on Monday morning June 14th.
