One of the core values of New Vision is “We value community.” For a Christ-follower, attending a worship service is a Biblical, foundational principle…it’s Healthy Habit #1! But being part of a church is more than just coming to church and listening to the preacher. It’s about connecting with God and others through real relationships where you can encourage and be encouraged. We believe being in a small group is the single best way for people to give and receive ministry and to feel “connected” to their church. Belonging to a small group creates opportunities for group Bible study, personal accountability and building life long friendships as you grow in your relationship with Christ. It doesn’t matter whether you choose to get connected in an On-Campus Group or an Off-Campus Group…it just matters that you do!
As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.
~ Proverbs 27:17
Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts.
They broke bread together in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.
~ Acts. 2:46
On-Campus Groups meet on Wednesday evenings, Sunday mornings and Sunday evenings and are typically organized by life stage or age range. For help finding the right group for you, complete the online
Group Finder form; someone will contact you with suggestions based on your specific input. Or, feel free to visit any of our current On-Campus Groups.
Off-Campus Groups are small groups of about 6 married couples or 6-10 individuals of the same gender. These groups meet weekly…on campus or in someone’s home… to laugh, pray, study God’s Word, and live life together. Some groups are based on life stage while others are based on shared experience and circumstances. For help finding the right group for you, complete the online Group Finder form; someone will contact you with suggestions based on your specific input.
Attend a 1-hour, Adult Groups Orientation. It will help you further understand the role of biblical community in the life of the believer and lead you to connect to a group for the purpose of accountability and personal, spiritual growth. You can also complete our online Group Finder, and we will make recommendations for groups that best match your group preferences. Try several and pray for God’s direction. Once you’re comfortable you are where He wants you to be, make a commitment to the group…even if it’s for a defined period of time.
