Our theme this year is MomSense: Bold, Loving, Sensible. It involves equipping us as moms to embrace our mothering instincts and develop our own parenting style, while navigating through the myriad of daily “mom decisions.” Developing a mothering strategy is somewhat like playing a game…and this year’s theme is appropriately game related. Have fun being a mom! Playing games involves being bold, taking risks, loving those in the game with us, and being sensible while figuring out what works and what doesn’t. Combining our mom intuition and our common sense, we will each discover our own unique “MomSense.”
At MOPS, we hope to provide encouragement to you as you welcome not only the joys of motherhood, but also the trials. Motherhood can push you to your farthest limits, physically and spiritually, and we want to help nourish and renew your soul as you prepare for the rest of your day’s adventures. Enjoy a few hours to yourselves to recharge and learn how to be loving Christian examples as women, mothers, wives, and leaders.
Our theme verse for the year is 2 Timothy 1:7, “God doesn’t want us to be shy with his gifts, but bold, and loving, and sensible” (The Message). Timothy had a strong mother and grandmother who nurtured his faith. Paul encourages Timothy to use the gifts God has given him in a bold, loving and sensible way. Our prayer for us as MOPS mothers is that we would be bold, take risks, and be loving to our family as we develop confidence in our own mothering strategy.
So come on in to the game board of our lives and let’s all enjoy the sights, sounds, and excitement that MomSense has to offer. We look forward to a very blessed and fantastic MOPS year ahead. We would love for you to join us!
