Coronavirus Health Update

    April 2 Update

    Church Family,

Once again we want to thank you for your grace and understanding as we all work together to navigate this ever-changing season. We have been so encouraged by the stories that you've shared with us of how you've seen God move during this time. We are also excited to announce that these will now be available on our new blog, entitled Stories of Hope, which can be found on our website! Click the link below to read more.

    I Can Help | I Need Help

Last week we shared with you some ways in which we, the church body, can come together to love on our community during this crisis, and your response has been overwhelming! Your non-perishable food donations as well as your handwritten cards for inmates and college students are making such a difference!

This week we learned about two new opportunities to serve our community that we want to tell you about. New Vision is partnering with Murfreesboro City Schools and the CHOW buses to provide breakfast and lunch, as well as books, to youth across Rutherford County. They are distributing backpacks, of specific food items & school supplies, including books. You can help by making a food and/or book donation that will be included in these backpacks. New and gently used children’s books, ranging from toddler to chapter books.

In addition to caring for first responders and law enforcement, we are extending our support to the medical community. As a family of believers, we want to minister to them by putting together care packages filled with snacks, encouraging notes, and other resources to let them know how much we appreciate them.

    March 25 Update

    Church Family,

Many of you have asked what we are doing during this time to love on our community and give folks the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus! Every need in the world is an open door to share God's love. That's why, as a church family, we're responding to the COVID-19 crisis, not by panicking or hiding out of fear, but by serving the people who are most vulnerable.

    Endure Athletics Food Drop Off
Help New Vision and Endure Athletics feed at risk kids in Murfreesboro. These children are homeless, most living in hotels off of Church Street. We are a drop off location for food items!

    Suggested Items:
Canned goods, fruit snacks, peanut butter crackers, trail mix, etc.

    Inmate Notecards Pick Up/Drop Off
We are making an all out effort to encourage inmates during a time when they are on lock-down with no visits from families, no mentoring, and no Bible studies allowed.  One of the primary ways to encourage them which also serves as a reminder that they are significant and thought about regularly is to send a short note to them. Notecards, with instructions and a sample card, can be picked up & dropped off at New Vision.

College Student Notecards & Food Pick Up/Drop Off
There are 1000+ students who are still living on campus. Food options are limited, so we want to fill the gaps where we can! Writing a card or donating a snack is a great way to love on a local college kid! Notecards, with instructions and a sample card, can be picked up & dropped off at New Vision.

    Suggested Items:
Pre-packaged snacks; chips, granola bars, fruit snacks, peanut butter crackers, trail mix, etc.

Patrol Packs: Medical Community, First Responders & Law Enforcement Notecards & Food Drop Off
Our Medical Community, First Responders, & Law Enforcement are working around the clock and are carrying the burdens of the virus both physically, as they are facing constant exposure, and emotionally. As a family of believers, we want to minister to them by putting together care packages filled with snacks, encouraging notes, and resources to let them know how much we appreciate them! Please register for the items you plan to donate by clicking the button below. Notecards can be picked up & dropped off at New Vision.

    Suggested Items:
    (Drop-off Deadline: April 17)
Individually wrapped; Chex mix, Rice Krispie Treats, Planters Sweet & Salty Packs, Cheez-It crackers, Slim Jims, 16 oz. Gatorade

Pickup and drop off location for all donations is located outside the Fellowship Hall awning, Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 PM. Food is picked up daily.

For more info or questions regarding any of the above donation options, please contact us!

    I have a question

If you are unable to pick up or drop off items, please indicate in the form. We will offer to pick up and/or deliver items to your home. A staff member will contact you for next steps for delivery or pick up.

Let us know what your need is and we will do our best to meet those needs. Please understand that we may not be able to meet every need. New Vision's primary response is to care for people who are high risk due to COVID-19 (elderly, medically high risk, medical and first responders, and those with children in the home). Please fill out the form below and we will do our best to meet your needs. Your name will not be displayed publicly but will be shared with the person who will help fulfill your need.

    I need help

The current circumstances have brought about a lot of uncertainty and confusion, but there has also been so much good! We love hearing your stories of how God is moving in your lives, so keep them coming!

When this is all said and done, we pray that we aren’t a body that just goes back to normal, but that we would be better! Let’s create a new normal together. Paul has a lot to say in Romans 12, and we are excited to dive in together!

    March 20 Update

    Church Family,

Thank you so much for your prayers and encouragement as we all navigate challenging times. Know that our staff is praying for you earnestly as we all deal with these circumstances.

While our services will be online only, the worship center at both campuses will be open from 9:00am to 12:00pm for individual prayer time. There will be no programming of any sort, but this is an opportunity for those who feel led to come pray. PLEASE: We ask that you continue to take responsible and sensible precautions. If you are at increased risk of catching COVID-19, if you have had any potential for exposure to it, or if you are not feeling well at all, please do not enter the building. However, if any of those apply to you, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us through the website by clicking the Prayer button on the homepage and submitting a prayer request.

In order to protect our staff, their families, and ultimately our church family, we have asked every staff member who’s responsibilities allow to work from home. While this is clearly a disruption from the routine, we’re very excited about the opportunities ahead of us to continue to communicate with and minister to you and your family remotely. Our ministry teams are working on creative ways to engage at all age levels. We firmly believe that God can and will use this time to help each of us grow in our faith and in our relationship with Him. It’s our prayer that all of us emerge from this current situation as better followers of Jesus, and we pray that large numbers of people who do not have a personal relationship with Christ would have an opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel as a result of world events!

Additionally, as a precautionary measure, we will be closing the church office effective Thursday, March 19. Should you choose to make your contribution by check or cash, there is a secured box in the office entry that will be available from 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday while the office is closed. We have added a staff contact list on the website to make it easier for you, should you need to reach a staff member from any area of ministry.

Please be sure to continue to check the website regularly for updates. We are continuing to work on things that will help all of us keep our eyes on Jesus.

Even though we won’t be together physically, we look forward to worshipping with you this week! Click below to participate in our online worship gatherings.

    March 18 Update

    Church Family,

What a week this has been! For the first time, we worshipped together in a new way by gathering solely online! While there are still so many unknowns in the ongoing development of the coronavirus, we do know that some things will never change. The Lord is faithful and He provides for His children! Because of your faithful giving, ministry will continue and our church has the opportunity to pour into lives in a unique way through online platforms.

Due to the increased risk of contracting the coronavirus in large group settings, we will continue to gather online this week!

    THURSDAY, MARCH 19 -  6:15PM
    SUNDAY, MARCH 22 - 8:20, 9:40, 11AM

While we do miss being able to corporately worship, we are so excited about the new and innovative ways in which we can worship together while physically separated. You don’t want to miss it!

We are holding fast to the truth that the church is not made up of a building, but of a body of believers! Church happens wherever you are, and we are so excited to tell you about some upcoming ministry opportunities and gatherings that will take place online!

Join us here to participate in our online worship gatherings!

    March 16 Update

    Church Family,

As we continually assess the current situation at hand, we feel that it is the safest option for the church body and the community to cancel all Wednesday + Thursday On-Campus programming this week. We ask that you continue to join us in prayer for our community, our leaders as they are making informed decisions. Be on the lookout for information about what gatherings will be available online!

For the most recent updates, please continue to check your email, our social media platforms, and this page for more information!

    March 14 Update

The Church has always been a place of refuge, hope, and connection. Many lives, businesses, and communities have been dramatically affected by these difficult circumstances. But take heart, we have a Sovereign God and a promise of Hope. So in prayer, let us approach the throne of grace with confidence.

We ask that you continue to pray for our community and it’s leaders. While we will not be having our regular services tomorrow morning, we encourage you to join us online!

The Worship Center at both New Vision locations will be open tomorrow, March 15, from 9:00AM to 12:00PM. Pastors will be present, and it will be available for individuals and families who would like to come and pray.

    March 13 Update

    New Vision Family,

For the past two days we have been gathering information, talking to church, community and government leaders, and most importantly earnestly seeking God’s guidance in terms of how New Vision should respond to the Coronavirus concern that is sweeping our nation and our state. Given the risk that large gatherings pose in terms of increasing the spread, we have decided to have our online-only service this Sunday, and perhaps beyond. Our priority is the health of our church family and our community and we have been blessed with multiple ways of sharing God’s Word through technology. Please take a few minutes to watch this message from Pastor Brady as he explains the decision and the next steps. This is a very recent decision and we are still working through details, so please keep checking your email,, and our social media channels to keep apprised of latest developments.

We encourage you to gather with us through our online campus this Sunday! When you join us online, you’ll enjoy the same worship service you would experience in-person. You can also join in on an interactive, staff-hosted live chat where our members gather to discuss the message, connect with others, give, and even share prayer requests.

    Here’s how to join us:

    • Visit during regular service times, and log in to join the staff-hosted live chat.
    • Visit our Facebook page at during regular service times and participate in the live chat in the comments.

If you’re a regular giver, thank you so much for your faithfulness to give! Your weekly gifts are a vital resource that allows us to continue the work that God has called us to do, and our in-person Sunday services only represent a small portion of that work. When you continue to give, your gifts allow us to maintain critical ministries that many depend on.

You can give online at any time at This is a great opportunity to see how easy online giving is!

All Sunday on-campus Small Groups are suspended along with our other in-person gatherings. If you lead or are a part of an off-campus Small Group, continue to meet at your discretion. You might also consider meeting digitally with tools like FaceTime or Google Hangouts.

We will be in touch with leaders regarding additional information and resources on how to best meet with and care for your Small Group. Please continue to check social media, your emails, & for evolving information.

    March 12 Update

    Hello, Church Family!

Here is a health update regarding the spreading of COVID-19, or Coronavirus. While we never want to operate out of a spirit of fear, as we know that is not from the Lord (2 Timothy 1:7), we want to assure you that we are taking the utmost precautions to keep you and your family safe.  Services for Sunday, March 15, 2020, are proceeding as normal, and we will update you immediately if anything changes. Please continue to check our website and social media platforms as the situation continues to evolve.

During this time, our highest priority is to keep you, our church family, and the community, safe. At this time, we are taking a number of precautions with our facilities & procedures in an effort to be proactive.

    When you walk in—

    • Hand sanitizer stations will be placed in strategic areas across the church. Hand sanitizer will also be available at all check in locations.
    • To minimize contact, coffee will be served to you rather than being a self-serve station. Those serving coffee will be properly sanitized and wearing gloves.

    During Service—

    • Bulletins will be available for pick up on a table in the Worship Center entrances or, we’d like to encourage to try our Online Bulletin, available here:

    • We ask that you greet each other with a smile & wave, rather than shaking hands.
    • We will not pass the offering plates. This is a great opportunity to see how easy online giving is! GIVE ONLINE HERE or, if you prefer to give via cash or check, simply place your offering in one of the black boxes located near the Worship Center exits.
    • Pens will be removed from the chair backs in front of you, so please bring your own if you wish to take notes!

    • Our facilities team is top notch and they take great pride in keeping our church home clean. Throughout the morning, they will continuously clean and sanitize high touch areas, such as door handles, touch screens and railings. In fact, we are adding additional hours for our facilities team members to make sure this is accomplished.

    On the Bus—

    • Donuts. In lieu of donuts for shuttle riders, we will be providing individually wrapped treats.

As always, we ask that you use your own discretion. If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, please stay home and consult your doctor immediately. If you are sick or feel at risk, we invite you to join us for the SERMON ONLINE!
    • Wash your hands with anti-bacterial soap and warm water, frequently. Per the CDC, wash for at least 20 seconds.
    • Regularly disinfect frequently used objects such as, cell phones, tv remotes, headphones, doorknobs, keys, etc.

Again, if you’re sick, or have been around someone who is ill, we encourage you to gather with us through our online campus.
    • Join our SERMON ONLINE during regular service times, and log in to join the live chat.
    • Host a watch party on Facebook at and participate in the live chat in the comments.

According to the Center for Disease Control, the Coronavirus is a respiratory disease that has been spreading globally since the end of 2019. There have been several confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Tennessee, according to the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. At the time of this update, there are no known cases in Rutherford County. We encourage all individuals to continue to monitor the CDC and its suggestions for prevention of the spread of Coronavirus. To learn more, visit the CDC Website

During this time, we ask that you join us in prayer for our community, our country, and the world. Please pray for our leaders, as they make informed decisions regarding the well-being of the people. Pray for our doctors and nurses who are at the forefront, caring for patients. We know that all things work together for the good of those who love Him. We may not understand why this has spread the way it has, but we are confident that the Lord has a plan. Our trust is in Him alone! May we always be a church who operates out of faith in the King of Kings!

    In Christ,

    Pastor Brady
